Family Trip to Downtown Houston

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to walk around downtown Houston for the first time in a long time. Even before the Covid lockdown, it had been a long time since we ventured into the downtown area. In the past we had explored the tunnels and taken the opportunity to ride the train, which was a lot of fun. On this day we started our adventure on Travis St, we walked around taking pictures and enjoying this beautiful fall weather. There was a lot of sidewalk construction that caused several detours in our journey, and we ultimately ended up at Phoenicia Specialty Foods. I took several pictures of downtown but by the time we made it to the market I had put my camera away. Shame on me! Because the market was one of the highlights of the day. I promise to provide better coverage of things in the future. The Phoenicia is a market in the heart of downtown across from Discovery Green. It is a fun and quirky market that has an amazing variety of international foods. We picked up some baklava, which was amazing. It is well worth the stop if you are in the area and they provide free parking in the garage next door if you are shopping in the store.      We have more trips planned for the near future and will keep you posted, hope you are all having a great day and I’ll talk to you soon.

So until next time, stay sharp and stay safe.
