Small Business Spotlight - Jaime Hulbert with Plexus

Today our Small Business Spotlight falls on entrepreneur Jaime Hulbert. Jaime is a high school math teacher at Legacy Christian Academy, a wife to her husband Jason and mother to six kids, ages fourteen to three and, she is also a Plexus Ambassador.

Originally from Southern California she has lived in Texas for fifteen years, she tells me “Plexus is a health and wellness company that started in 2009, and we specialize in all natural plant based supplements. We have three categories: health and wellness including overall gut health, weight loss, and skin care” and, “we have the cleanest ingredients on the market.” 

Jaime also tells me that she joined mainly for the financial benefits, but has found great benefits from the products for her and her family and they use them daily.

Jaime tells me that she and her husband Jason became “tired of exchanging all of our time for money,” leaving very little of the precious commodity for them and their family. “Jason was working 60 hours a week, six days a week and I was teaching full time and writing a successful math blog, which was a lot of work. I tutored every evening and I tried making cheer bows, I tried all the things.” 

It was a time of dire need for the family, “We were drowning, there was more month than there was paycheck,” but then a friend pointed her in the right direction.

“I saw a friend of mine post about Plexus,” Jaime was skeptical at first, but when her friend showed her a check that she had received from Plexus she became curious. Jaime said she knew they needed something, “so I joined in October of 2013 and then a year and two months later I hit the rank of Emerald, which is the third highest rank and with that I was able to retire Jason, he was able to quit his full time job. My income was paying double both of our incomes per month.”

With Plexus Jaime and Jason were able to “take a year off corporate America, we were able to move here and in that year Plexus paid our bills and supplemented our income more than we could have imagined and for us to be home and focus on our family for an entire year was a blessing.”

Jaime did eventually go back to teaching because she missed the classroom, and Jason pursued other interests that eventually took him into a career as an EMT. “But now at least I’m going back because I want to,” Jaime says, “not because we don’t have those resources.”

She tells me that Plexus has given them the financial freedom that they otherwise did not have. Along with financial freedom Jaime says Plexus provides her and her family with healthy products and supplements, and a generous compensation plan with multiple week long all expense paid trips to Hawaii. “I have learned a lot about leadership through them and have made a lot of friends.” But the main draw for Jamie is seeing the products change people’s lives. “And seeing that aspect you can’t help but to share.”
